SALES AND EVENT MANAGER, GARVER EVENTS

Location: Garver Feed Mill – Madison, WI
Schedule: Full-time, hybrid with flexible hours, some weekends required

ABOUT GARVER EVENTS

Garver Events operates out of the award-winning, historic Garver Feed Mill, one of Madison’s most iconic gathering spaces. We host weddings, corporate functions, private celebrations, and public events such as concerts, markets, and our signature Food Truck Fridays. We’re looking for an experienced, motivated Sales and Event Manager to join our team, grow event bookings, and help shape memorable guest experiences.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Proven experience in sales within the hospitality or event sector. Experience with TripleSeat or similar CRM is a plus.
  • Hands-on experience in event coordination and execution. Experience with both public programming and private events is a plus.
  • Experience managing staff, with strong leadership and delegation skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail.
  • Proactive, strategic thinker with strong follow-through.
Responsibilities
  • Understand Garver Feed Mill’s unique spaces and Garver Events’ policies and sales goals in order to sell and plan memorable events.
  • Conduct engaging tours for prospective clients, provide timely follow-up, and execute event contracts.
  • Manage email and phone communications with current and potential clients.
  • Plan and execute as variety of events assigned while debriefing and supporting event coordinators on others to ensure seamless operations
  • Leverage historic event data and regional market insights to create cost-effective marketing and sales strategies to drive events.
  • Identify potential clients and create event proposals
  • Establish sales goals, track progress, and develop metrics to measure success.
  • Contribute to the development and execution of public programming such as markets, concerts, and Food Truck Fridays.
