The Ministry of Agriculture is seeking a motivated, values-based individual to provide leadership and mentorship as Sales and Leasing Team Lead to a team of Sales and Leasing Analysts within the Consultation and Engagement Unit.
This position will focus on the disposition of agricultural Crown lands, including lease and sale auctions, sales to lessees, permitting as well as Treaty Land Entitlement (TLE) and Specific land Claim sales. Additionally, the successful candidate will provide policy and project management expertise related to land tenure and multiple uses of Crown lands. Responsibilities
  • Managing the disposition of Crown lands, including the sale and lease auction processes, permitting, and other Crown land sales.
  • Developing and delivering onboarding and training programs for Sales and Leasing Analysts.
  • Providing research, analysis, policy and program recommendations to government and stakeholder groups.
  • Building relationships with stakeholders and clients to enhance client service and streamline sales, leasing and permitting processes.
  • Collaborating across the ministry and with other government ministries as part of a unified team.
  • Serving as the first point of contact to provide direction and support on technical questions from Sales and Leasing Analysts.
  • Prioritizing and assigning work to the Sales and Leasing Analysts.
  • Reviewing and approving work completed by the Sales and Leasing Analysts.
  • Developing, updating, and implementing policies and procedures related to the leasing, sale and permitting of Crown lands.
  • Working closely with federal, provincial, municipal, and Indigenous governments, as well as stakeholders and resource users such as forestry, wildlife, and business developers.
