Description:
Overview:
To work closely with the corporate marketing team in understanding the overall company Annual Operating Plan (AOP) while being involved with the development of the local business plans. Assist in the implementation of AOP marketing plans to meet objectives. Assist in the development of sales & marketing strategies for all cafe operations with emphasis on maintaining consistent direction and vision through the entire sales & marketing team and cafe management teams. To develop creative strategic initiatives for all cafes within the region in leveraging hospitality and entertainment relationships to drive top line cafe and retail sales while heightening consumer awareness. Become the steward of all marketing efforts across Europe.
Individual should be the expert in their profession while displaying a creative side in developing community & industry partnerships and act as sales & marketing champion for the Marketing Team and support the in-marketing efforts of the designated Area Vice President of Operations and Regional Director (s) of Operations
Responsibilities:
- Drive implementation of global, regional, and local marketing programs through creative and innovative initiatives, primarily focusing on the Hard Rock brand attributes – We Are Authentic, We Are Philanthropic, We Are Passionate, We Are Unpredictable, We are Democratic.
- Within the specified region, evaluate each market and its opportunities in partnerships, public relations, and overall local market integration in the entertainment sector.
- Manage agency relationships for the brand in Europe and oversee the impact and support made available at the local unit level across PR, Digital and Social efforts.
- Develop a toolbox of successful ideas for markets to utilize as opportunities to grow top line sales.
- Drive the Annual Operation Plan (AOP) process for Europe, be a thought leader in developing the strategic plan for the region and ensure local market plans are strategic, executable and aligned with company directive.
- Create tools to be used by the field in educating entire cafe management teams on sales and marketing ideas to drive top line sales.
- Act as a National/Regional spokesperson for the brand – communicating our connection to music and entertainment – and the experience that is offered in our cafes. Representing the brand would include trade shows, national organizations, and public relation media opportunities.
- Serve as an ambassador for key company programs including (but not limited to) Hard Rock Rewards loyalty program and Hard Rock Heals philanthropic initiative and lead efforts to achieve their respective objectives and targets.
- Partner with operations to manage regional and local resources.
- Identify marketing opportunities (i.e. TV segment, influencer tasting event, traffic-driving initiative, music/entertainment partnership) and sales opportunities (i.e. tour and travel, conventions, groups, buy-out opportunities) within each market as a lead generator for the local Sales & Marketing team.
- Work closely with the Sr. Director of Global Marketing and Brand Marketing team at the Support Center for key program initiatives, updates and manage support provided to the European division.
- Work closely with the DOs and support their local teams to achieve their KPIs.
- Work closely with the Regional Sales & Marketing team to strategically support the entire European division, work as a unit to achieve objectives and best manage the group and individuals strengths and resources efficiently.
- Coordinate synergies between departments.
- Be a team player, work well with others and be respectful and professional.
- Teach/coach and document employees who fail to meet standards to maintain a high quality workforce.
- Present a professional image to employees, guests, clients, owners and investors and be an overall example and leader of the brand.
- Attend client functions and designated parties to provide support, ensure guest satisfaction and promote future business.
- Build business/market share by thinking of new ways to promote company and by participating in local events to increase sales and profits. Develop and maintain positive relationships within the business and social community. Spearhead annual philanthropic initiatives.
- Work as a team, helping all employees to complete the required activities that ensure we blow away Guest expectations.
- Be a partner & liaison with our Hotel team and support in all cross-promotional opportunities.
- Operate ethically to protect the image of Hard Rock.
- Utilize programs designed to help Save the Planet.
Qualifications:
EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION, AND CERTIFICATIONS
- Proven sales/marketing strategic experience required.
- Proven successful marketing initiatives.
- Proven experience in related sectors – marketing, fashion, retail, entertainment, music, and hospitality industries.
- Have managed or implemented Digital/Social initiatives and have a basic understanding of SEO, influencer & social strategies.
- Has an established network within the region and will continue to develop relationships within key categories: Local Media, Hospitality, Tour & Travel, and Music & entertainment industry.

- Prior successful management experience.

This executive should be a hands-on manager - and will possess the insight to anticipate problems and the sophistication with which to resolve them. This person will be a strong decision maker who can identify and generate well-formed ideas.

- Must possess strong communication and listening skills, excellent speaking, reading and writing.
