Company Overview:
Black Rock Construction Group is a growing construction company based in St. John’s. Specializing in wood chipping and horizontal grinding services. We help contractors, developers, and municipalities manage wood waste efficiently and cost-effectively.
We’re seeking a motivated, hands-on Sales & Operations professional who isn’t afraid of cold calling, door knocking, and actively pursuing new leads, while also managing the day-to-day operations of our grinder services.
Key Responsibilities:

Sales & Business Development:

  • Generate new leads through cold calling, door knocking, and networking
  • Build relationships with contractors, developers, landscapers, and municipalities
  • Prepare and deliver quotes, proposals, and contracts
  • Track leads, opportunities, and closed deals

Operations:

  • Coordinate daily wood chipping and grinding schedules
  • Oversee equipment dispatch and job-site execution
  • Perform or supervise basic inspections and light maintenance on equipment
  • Ensure jobs are completed on time, safely, and to client expectations

Qualifications:

  • Proven sales experience (construction, heavy equipment, or waste services an asset)
  • Comfortable with cold calling, door-to-door outreach, and building client relationships
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Valid driver’s license (Class 5 required; Class 3 or 1 is an asset)
  • Hands-on equipment experience is a plus (training provided)
  • Self-motivated and driven to meet targets

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base pay + commission (earnings range: $60,000 – $90,000+ annually, depending on performance)
