Job Description
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our team for 20 hours per week in Cannock. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and supporting our sales efforts.
- Greet and assist customers in a warm and professional manner
- Offer product information and recommendations to meet customer needs
- Process sales transactions accurately using the till system
- Handle cash, card payments, and maintain a balanced cash drawer
- Maintain a tidy and well-organised sales floor
- Restock shelves and update product displays
- Assist with inventory management and stock checks
- Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets
- Address customer queries and resolve issues promptly
- Stay informed about current promotions and special offers
QUALIFICATIONS
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong customer service orientation with a friendly and approachable demeanour
- Basic maths skills for handling cash and processing transactions
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment
- Good time management and organisational skills
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and evenings
- Previous retail or customer service experience preferred
- Enthusiasm for learning about products and sharing knowledge with customers
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Keen attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of presentation
