ABOUT US

We are looking for a new sales support colleague to join our team. The sales department is divided into 7 country groups, namely the Benelux, North, West & South Europe, East & South East Europe, the Americas, the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific. The diversity between sales activities and the consequent market approach in the 7 country groups is extensive because of the differences in product types, distribution, types of customers, collaboration with agents, political influences, government regulations, method of project funding etc.
Within the Americas you will support a team of 10 sales managers and 1 area director, together with 5 other sales assistants.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Keeping the overview and providing support on the sales portfolio;
  • Active sales pipeline management: identify, log, follow up and close opportunities accurately;
  • Preparing quotations and tender documents with close collaboration of multiple departments within the organization;
  • Contract management: preparing contracts, invoicing, and organizing (international) company/customer visits;
  • Preparing, organizing and occasionally attending (internal) meetings, and (international) exhibitions with close collaboration of the Marketing department;
  • Being responsible for the travel arrangements, agenda and other general activities for the office team;
  • All other general administration tasks, like visa applications, expense reports, managing the Salesforce system, filing documents etc.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

Our new colleague:

  • Is commercial, proactive and a motivated self-starter;
  • Has strong communication and organizational skills and a true team spirit;
  • Is flexible whilst remaining accurate under stressful situations;
  • Is not afraid of making decisions and is a trustworthy person.

Additionally, we are looking for a colleague who:

  • Finished secretarial or commercial studies (MBO+ or HBO work and think level);
  • Is proficient in Dutch and English (both verbally and written), Spanish would be an asset;
  • Has a minimum of 2 years of work experience;
  • Is fulltime available.
Responsibilities

You are part of the sales team and work closely in all activities with the sales manager(s) of the area to build up a commercial relationship with customers from this region. The countries where we do business are often Spanish speaking. We would appreciate if you speak Spanish or are prepared to learn Spanish in addition to Dutch and English.
At the same time you are the first point of contact for the internal organization, and you are involved in the preparations and organization of meetings, company visits, exhibitions in the region, and tenders. This role is suitable for you if you are flexible, able to act quickly, forethought, and if you take the lead when necessary.
