Description The Sales Assistant supports the Sales Executive across all facets of the sales cycle, ensuring a smooth and organized process from market preparation through order fulfillment. In this role, you’ll prepare showroom materials, update buy sheets, manage order recaps, and proactively identify and resolve discrepancies. You’ll act as a key liaison between Sales, Merchandising, Production, Order Entry, Warehouse teams, and Buyers— maintaining clear communication on tracers, routing, deliveries, and product shipments. Detail-oriented and highly organized, you’ll help maintain accurate data across systems (PLM, AS400), manage sample requests, review account activity, and ensure all orders are complete, accurate, and aligned with delivery timelines. Your work will directly support sales performance, account satisfaction, and operational efficiency. Responsibilities Market & Showroom Support Assist the Sales Executive during showroom market appointments and help prepare all materials in advance. Support sales calls and presentations as needed. Shop the market and capture photos for the merchandising team and management. Order Management & Data Accuracy Update buy sheets and share with Production and Merchandising teams; ensure all information is complete and accurate. Send order recaps and flag any discrepancies. Review account spreadsheets; issue UPCs and bulk recaps when needed. Enter revisions for costs, delivery dates, split quantities, account changes, etc. Update and revise Buyer orders to confirm style numbers, quantities, colors, prices, and delivery details. Provide Available-To-Sell (ATS) information to accounts. Review POs prior to submitting to Order Entry and ensure there are no LEAD holds. Review all NA styles and partner with the Sales Executive to resolve any issues. Communication & Cross-Functional Coordination Communicate with Order Entry, Warehouse, Buyers, and internal partners regarding tracers, late orders, routing, picking, and extensions. Maintain regular communication with overseas production offices. Request revised POs or EDIs from Buyers as needed. Follow up with merchandising and production through PLM and relay updates to Buyers. Send CADs, photos, and virtual TOPs to Buyers upon request. Sample & Report Management Initiate and track sample requests through PLM and AS400 Review and distribute past cancels reports to Buyers. Generate open order reports and monitor on-order status to ensure timely deliveries Retrieve packing lists and send to Buyers; share invoices when required Check system information for tracers, pickup appointments, routing submissions, and related updates Notify Buyers when samples are shipped. Requirements Minimum of 1-2 years of sales related experience in an Apparel Company Experience with MS Office, specifically working with Excel and use of spreadsheets. Very strong communication skills Organized and responsible Hybrid Work Schedule 4 days a week in the office, Fridays from home New York Pay Rate $21.50 - $28.85 per hour We strive to hire and nurture amazing talent.
