JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a reliable, personable, and highly organized Sales Assistant to be the first point of contact for our clients. This role is critical to creating a welcoming and professional environment that reflects our passion for helping our clients create a space they love. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, a customer-first attitude, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently and in an organized fashion. The Sales Assistant will work closely with the sales team to enhance customer service and ensure client satisfaction.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience (1-5 years) in a customer service and/or retail sales role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Professional demeanor
  • Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Outlook, Excel)
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • A willingness to learn
  • Experience in the construction industry is considered an asset
    This role is full-time but may be adjusted to 3-4 days per week for the right candidate. The hours for this role are 8:30 to 5:00 Monday through Friday with occasional Saturday work from 10:00 to 4:00. The salary for this role depends on the level of experience the ideal candidate.
    Job Type: Full-time
    Pay: $16.00-$24.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 40 per week

Responsibilities

The Sales Assistant:

  • Warmly greet all clients and vendors from our front desk upon arrival and direct them to the appropriate Design Consultant
  • Professionally answer and manage incoming phone calls, screen and forward calls, take messages, and provide accurate information
  • Deliver exceptional customer service by responding promptly to client requests and concerns
  • Assist customers with point of sale payments
  • Organized supply only material pick ups
  • Coordinated customer follow-ups
  • Perform sales of our in-store cleaning supplies and organize product pick ups
  • Collect and follow up on customer inquiries as requested by Design Consultants
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing front desk and show room
  • Basic administrative tasks such as email correspondence, filing, and data entry
