OVERVIEW

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. The Cocoa cabana concession within Selfridges at the Trafford Centre in Manchester will sell a range of loose chocolates, bars, cakes, bakes and chocolate fruit. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and a passion for customer service. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the customer experience, driving sales, and supporting the overall operations of our store.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills with a friendly and approachable manner.
  • A proactive attitude towards learning new products and sales techniques.

Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers with their inquiries and purchases.
  • Packaging chocolates and selling to customers - ensuring the highest quality
  • Setting up the cocoa cabana concession following clear guidelines ensuring our products always look outstanding
  • Preparation of fruit for strawberry pots
  • Preparation of chocolate covered strawberries ready for presentation and sale0
  • Engage with customers to understand their needs and recommend suitable products, employing upselling techniques where appropriate.
  • Maintain an organised and tidy sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked.
  • Handle transactions accurately and efficiently using the point-of-sale system.
  • Communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth operations and a positive shopping experience for customers.
  • Assist in inventory management, including stock replenishment and conducting regular stock checks.
  • Utilise basic maths skills to manage cash handling and provide accurate change to customers.
  • Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer queries over the phone or via other communication channels.
