We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Assistant to join our dynamic team. As a Sales Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting customers, managing sales transactions, and contributing to the overall success of our store. This position requires effective time management and organisational skills to ensure a smooth shopping experience for our customers.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a retail or sales environment is advantageous but not essential.
  • Strong time management skills to prioritise tasks effectively within a busy retail setting.
  • Basic maths skills for handling transactions and providing accurate change to customers.
  • Organisational skills to maintain an orderly work environment and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with spreadsheets.
  • A proactive approach to selling with the ability to upsell products based on customer needs.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers warmly and assist them in finding products that meet their needs.
  • Handle sales transactions accurately and efficiently, ensuring all payments are processed correctly.
  • Maintain an organised and tidy sales floor, ensuring products are well-displayed and stocked.
  • Engage with customers to promote additional products through upselling techniques.
  • Answer customer queries via phone or in-person with excellent phone etiquette and communication skills.
  • Collaborate with team members to achieve sales targets and enhance the overall customer experience.
  • Assist in inventory management, including restocking shelves and conducting stock checks as required.
