ROLE DESCRIPTION

Are you practical, hardworking, and enjoy hands-on work? We’re looking for a Sales Assistant to join us at our Lords Builders Merchants branch in Westbourne Grove.
This is a varied and physically active role, primarily stock handling, supporting deliveries, and helping in the cutting shop — with occasional trade counter coverage to serve customers. If you’re looking for a role where you’ll stay busy, work with a friendly team, and learn new skills, this could be the perfect fit.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist with unloading yard deliveries and moving stock into the right locations
• Support our Timber Cutter in the cutting shop, helping prepare timber, plywood, MDF, and sheet materials
• Keep shelves stocked and displays tidy, ensuring products are priced and presented well
• Handle boxes, timber, and sheet materials safely and efficiently
• Provide occasional cover at the trade counter, helping customers when needed
• Maintain clean, safe, and organised work areas
• Help with ordering and stock control, liaising with suppliers when necessary
• Report stock issues to the Branch Manager daily
• Follow all Health & Safety guidelines, including correct manual handling practices

  Salary: £30,159 per annum
  Hours: 7.30am-5.30pm Mon-Fri, 8am-11pm alternate Saturdays
  Holiday: 21 days per year plus Bank Holidays
