SALES ASSISTANT – LOW WOODS FURNISHINGS

Location: Low Woods Furnishings, Low Woods Lane, Belton, Leicestershire, LE12 9TR
Job Type: Part Time - Tuesday, Friday & Saturday - 9am - 5pm ( Six-month maternity cover, with the potential to become a permanent position )
Low Woods Furnishings is a beautiful destination for bespoke interiors, soft furnishings, and quality fabrics. We’re looking for a friendly, detail-oriented Sales Assistant to join our small, creative team.
Role Responsibilities: As a Sales Assistant , your day-to-day duties will include:
-Delivering excellent customer service, both in-store and online
- Advising customers on fabric choices and interior styling
- Measuring, calculating, and cutting fabric to order with precision
- Preparing quotations for made-to-measure soft furnishings such as curtains, blinds, and cushions
- Maintaining and updating our website and online e-commerce platforms with new products, content, and images.
- Ensuring the showroom is tidy, welcoming, and ready for customers at all times. What We’re Looking For:
- A passion for interiors, textiles, and great design
- Strong attention to detail and numeracy skills
- Confident communicator with a customer-first approach
- Basic computer skills and an interest in online retail
- Experience in retail, interiors, or textiles is a plus but training will be given
- Own transport is essential due to our rural location
- Physically fit and capable of performing light manual handling tasks, including lifting fabric rolls and furniture
- Must be fully computer literate. Experience using platforms such as WordPress, Etsy, or eBay would be an advantage. Full training will be provided
