This role offers a unique "ground up" experience in luxury hospitality sales, designed for a motivated individual looking to immerse themselves in the Belmond and LVMH culture. Scope and Purpose Based in our Milan Divisional Office, the Sales Assistant in Training will provide essential support to the Italy & Spain Sales Team across leisure and group segments. Reporting to the Divisional Director of Sales Southern Europe, you will gain hands-on experience in driving revenue and developing the Belmond presence across key international markets. This role is a stepping stone for future leaders in the hotel industry. Key Responsibilities Handle day-to-day departmental tasks, including managing invoices, internal documentation, and departmental correspondence. Assist in preparing high-level proposals, confirmations, and contracts for FIT and agency bookings. Help organize hotel visits and site inspections, ensuring accurate tracking and ROI analysis for each visit. Maintain and update the customer database (CRM), tracking sales calls and client interactions to support effective follow-up. Track incoming requests and manage shared inboxes and lead trackers for exclusive products, such as Villa Beatrice in Portofino. Assist in creating and distributing newsletters and key hotel communications to our global client database. Support the team in qualifying and converting small to medium leads for both individual reservations and social/corporate events. Conduct competitive set analysis, monitoring occupancy trends, renovations, and promotional initiatives within the luxury sector. Assist in compiling monthly reports covering site inspections, fam trips, and key activations for presentation to the Divisional Director. Manage the inventory of sales kits, brochures, and MICE materials, ensuring high-quality collateral is always available for the team.
