ABOUT US

Zigi’s Fireplaces and Woodburners are a family run business established in 1982 that specialise in the design, supply and installation of fireplaces, electric fires, gas fires and solid fuel stoves.
We are a growing company in a growing industry and we are now looking for a new showroom sales assistant to join our Colchester sales team.

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

  • Previous experience working within a sales or retail environment would be ideal however training will be provided.
  • A willingness to learn and understand the fireplace industry and products to best serve customers.
  • A friendly, approachable and ‘can do’ attitude
  • Strong proficiency with MS office applications, in particular MS word, Outlook and Excel.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills with a strong attention to detail
  • Some heavy lifting required.

Responsibilities
  • Greet customers in the showroom and assist with initial queries.
  • Answer phone calls and emails, respond and direct as required.
  • Oversee the end-to-end sales process, providing advice and guidance to customers.
  • Processing orders and liaising with suppliers.
  • Liaise with customers to organise delivery and installation dates, quotations, servicing, and other general appointments
  • Promoting products and maximising sales.
  • Unpacking and sorting deliveries, this will include some manual handling and lifting.
  • Monitor the showroom, to make sure that shelves and displays are organised.
  • Other general duties as required.
