We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our team in a dynamic grocery store environment. The ideal candidate will possess strong customer service skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers. As a Sales Associate, you will play a crucial role in enhancing the shopping experience by assisting customers, managing transactions, and maintaining store standards.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Previous experience in a retail or grocery store setting is preferred but not required.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with diverse customers.
• Basic math skills for handling transactions accurately.
• Familiarity with Point of Sale (POS) systems is a plus.
• Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply, as this can enhance communication with our diverse clientele.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Strong phone etiquette for handling customer inquiries professionally.

• Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service throughout their shopping experience.
• Assist customers with product inquiries and guide them to the appropriate sections of the store.
• Operate the cash register and handle transactions accurately, including cash, credit, and debit payments.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of sales floor and checkout areas to ensure a pleasant shopping environment.
• Utilize basic math skills to process transactions and provide change as needed.
• Collaborate with team members to achieve sales goals and promote store promotions.
• Demonstrate effective phone etiquette when handling customer calls or inquiries.
• Support inventory management by restocking shelves and ensuring product availability.
• Engage in upselling techniques to enhance sales opportunities while maintaining customer satisfaction.
