QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

  • Extensive sales expertise with strong product knowledge and the ability to drive revenue.
  • Background in retail or customer service, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Proven success in phone sales or telemarketing, with the ability to engage and convert leads over the phone.
  • Experience in the lighting, entertainment, or architectural lighting industry, preferred.

Responsibilities
  • Build primary contacts by connecting with customers via phone calls, emails and in person visits, with the objective of introducing the company’s new and existing products lines & services.
  • Research, schedule, and conduct in person visits with current or prospective customers with the intention of building trust, showcasing pertinent products, and offering expertise.
  • Collaborate with customers, evaluate their needs, and offer suitable solutions.
  • Plan and execute product demonstrations with information and pricing as requested.
  • Negotiate pricing with customers within established guidelines.
  • Enter orders accurately, routing paperwork as appropriate.
  • Deepen customer relationships and generate repeat business through timely, and effective follow ups.
  • Maintaining a high conversion rate from sales leads to profitable sales.
  • Handle product returns and refunds according to policy.
  • Perform other customer service duties, such as stock checks, orders and shipping confirmations.
  • Add and maintain accurate customer and contact records in Salesforce, including capturing new leads, updating profiles, tracking interactions, managing sales opportunities, and ensuring data consistency.
  • Assist Accounting in collection of aged receivables as necessary.
  • Meet with vendors during office visits to expand individual product knowledge and sales techniques.
  • Collaborate with manufacturers and sales associates on calls and visits with new and prospective customers.
  • Attend trade shows as well as industry and Barbizon sponsored events as required.
  • Travel locally and long distance as required.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.
