JOB OVERVIEW

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic person to join our team. A love to care for and help animals is a must. Knowledge of farming and caring for livestock is a plus. Your responsibilities will include assisting customers, managing the cash register, carrying out feed bags for customers and ensuring that the store is well-stocked and organized. REQUIREMENTS

• Previous experience in retail sales or cashiering is preferred.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Physically able and pick up and carry 50lb bags
• Willing to take your veternatary vendor dispensary license (will work towards after hire)
• Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and retail math calculations.
• Experience with merchandising and stocking practices in a retail setting is a plus.
• Ability to work in a team-oriented environment while also being self-motivated.
• Familiarity with product demonstrations and upselling techniques is beneficial.

• Provide outstanding customer service by greeting customers warmly and assisting with their inquiries.
• Operate the Point of Sale (POS) system accurately for processing transactions.
• Handle cash transactions with precision, ensuring accurate cash handling and balancing of registers.
• Demonstrate products to customers and provide information on promotions or specials.
• Upsell products to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the checkout area and store displays.
• Assist in stocking shelves and merchandising products effectively to attract customers.
• Supervise junior staff members when necessary, providing guidance and support.
• Utilize effective phone etiquette when addressing customer inquiries over the phone.
