Job Details Job Location: Chattanooga - Hwy 58 - Chattanooga, TN 37416 Help unload incoming trucks and put away merchandise (as arranged by management). Maintain your assigned department: Keep clean, organized and fully stocked. Execute the daily operational, day-to-day goals/priorities assigned to you and move with your “Ace Pace”. Remove promotional bin tags from displays/price tags as required. Restock merchandise displays as needed, watch end caps and side wings. Handle special orders for all non-stock items. Never tell a customer no without checking with a manager. Watch for shoplifters and act, in line with Elder’s policy, that will discourage shoplifting. Respond to radio requests. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications Minimum of 6 months-1 year of retail experience, hardware experience preferred. Able to communicate professionally with customers and team members. Skilled at providing prompt, friendly and attentive customer service. Strong organizational skills with a passion for details. Willing to learn all areas of the store and help train others. Knowledge and experience of various departments is strongly desired. A continuous pattern of regular and prompt attendance is required. Availability must be flexible, including evenings, weekends and holidays. Bilingual (Spanish) verbal and written communication skills strongly preferred.
Responsibilities
The Sales Associate is responsible for unloading incoming trucks, maintaining the assigned department, and restocking merchandise displays. They must also handle special orders and respond to customer inquiries while discouraging shoplifting.
