POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are currently seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic Full-Time Sales Associate to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fishing, experience with retail sales and POS systems, and a customer-focused attitude. You’ll play a key role in helping customers find the right gear, providing expert advice, and maintaining a clean, well-stocked sales floor.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:

• Required: Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in fishing (local knowledge is a bonus)
• Preferred: Experience in retail sales and POS systems
• Preferred: Familiarity with inventory processes (ordering, receiving, restocking)
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Must be able to work weekdays, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs and stand for extended periods

• Greet and assist customers with a positive, knowledgeable, and professional approach
• Provide expert advice on fishing gear, tackle, and local fishing conditions
• Operate the Point-of-Sale (POS) system for transactions, returns, and exchanges
• Assist with inventory management, including receiving and restocking merchandise
• Process product orders and special requests
• Maintain clean and organized displays and merchandising
• Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues in a timely manner
• Stay current with product knowledge, new arrivals, and industry trends
• Support store promotions, events, and seasonal campaigns
