JOB DESCRIPTION:

Reporting to the Sales Managers, the Automotive Sales Consultant will be responsible for building professional relationships with customers through vehicle sales. The Sales Consultant must maintain current knowledge and training of the dealership’s vehicles makes and models. As an ambassador to the Company, they will be professional, approachable, honest, and have strong in-person presentational skills. The individual must be self-motivated, have a strong work ethic, and driven by success.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proficient at operating a personal computer including Microsoft Office: E-mail, Excel and Word
  • Dealer Socket or another CRM Application an asset
  • Ability to work independently and be self-motivated
  • A desire to work in a commission, performance-based environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
  • Great attitude with high-energy personality
  • Be able to be licensed with the Ontario Motor Vehicle Industry Council (OMVIC)
  • Availability Monday-Saturday

Responsibilities
  • Provide customers with information regarding vehicles for sale
  • Conduct test drive of vehicles for sale
  • Build and foster customer relationships - maintain customer base
  • Generate and develop customer accounts and new opportunities for revenue growth
  • Understanding and working with Automotive computer systems and processes
  • Keeping informed and compliant with federal, provincial, and municipal laws and regulations that affect vehicle sales
  • Handling finances and working with the finance manager to ensure the customer understands and is comfortable with the process
  • Understanding and communicating how to service and maintain vehicles
  • Taking customers on test drives, ensuring all proper paperwork and documentation is complete and accurate
  • Keep informed and compliant with OMVIC regulations
  • Other duties as required
