House of Bikes is an electric bicycle dealer founded by cycling enthusiasts, with a mission of encouraging others to ride bikes for leisure, commuting and fitness. We offer a complete line-up of e-bikes catering to riders of all ages, sizes and abilities.

POSITION OVERVIEW

This is a unique opportunity to be part of a growing local team of bike enthusiasts. You’ll be working closely with senior management on day-to-day operations, acquiring experience in a wide range of duties including managerial decision-making support. The ideal candidate is bilingual, enthusiastic and a quick learner. Our work environment is dynamic and we highly value a positive team spirit! This role is in-person at our showroom in the Canotek Business Park and cannot be performed remotely.

RESPONSABILITIES

  • Greet customers, identify needs and offer guidance towards product selection
  • Primary assistant to the Store Manager on a wide range of duties
  • First point of contact for phone, e-mail, website chat, and in-store customers
  • Qualification of leads, coordinating and assisting customer test rides
  • Processing orders and dispatching shipments
  • Assist in basic shipping and receiving duties including inventory management
  • Assist customers upon pick-up of their products
  • Ensure compliance of all store policies
  • Operate the check-out counter using a point-of-sale system
  • Coordination and scheduling of appointments
  • Brief management on current challenges, offer solutions and identify opportunities
  • Perform Assistant Store Manager duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bilingual in English & French
  • High-school diploma (required) + post-secondary education (asset)
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in a business setting
  • 2 years full-time experience providing exceptional customer service in a retail environment
  • 1 year experience working in a sporting goods store
  • Experience using a point-of-sale system and/or e-commerce platform (i.e. Shopify)
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing priorities
  • Strong time-management skills
  • Critical thinking skills to identify and implement solutions for complex problems
  • Comfortable interacting with customers both online and in-person, often without supervision
  • Desire, ability and initiative to learn and perform a vast range of duties
  • Strong attention to detail in all matters, ranging from mission critical to more tedious tasks
  • Knowledge of bicycles, or cycling experience, or an interest in health & fitness, sports and recreation
  • Ability to assist with basic shipping and receiving duties
