Job Summary The Sales Representative I is responsible for executing outbound and online sales activities within one MonkeySports product category (e.g., hockey, goalie, baseball/softball, or lacrosse). This role focuses on lead conversion, customer engagement, and supporting corporate sales initiatives while developing subject matter expertise in a defined product area. This position is for a Hockey Category Sales Representative. Requirements Essential Job Functions Outbound & Online Sales Execution Conduct outbound outreach to prospective and existing customers via phone, email, SMS, and chat. Convert inbound and outbound leads into successful sales opportunities. Support online sales functions, including customer inquiries, product recommendations, and order assistance. Maximize sales potential by upselling, cross-selling, and recommending complementary products. Assist in moving aged inventory as directed by Sales leadership. Customer Engagement & Relationship Building Deliver a professional and positive customer experience during all interactions. Develop and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts and prospects. Provide timely and accurate information about products, pricing, promotions, and availability. Escalate complex issues or high-value opportunities to the Sales Supervisor. Campaign & Team Support Execute campaigns and promotions assigned by Sales leadership. Follow established scripts, playbooks, and outreach strategies. Support teammates by sharing customer insights and best practices. Participate in team meetings, training sessions, and performance reviews. Reporting & Process Adherence Accurately document all sales activity and customer interactions in the company CRM system. Meet or exceed daily, weekly, and monthly sales activity and revenue targets. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and ethical sales standards. Provide feedback on customer responses, product trends, and sales opportunities to the Sales Supervisor. Additional Responsibilities and Requirements Support category-specific promotional initiatives. Maintain knowledge of core MonkeySports products and current inventory. Participate in continuous product training and CRM skill development. Qualifications, Education, and Experience 1–2 years of customer service, retail, or inside sales experience preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to build rapport quickly and professionally. Familiarity with CRM systems preferred. Interest in sporting goods and product knowledge in one category preferred. Cognitive and Physical Demands Ability to meet high call, email, and outreach volumes daily. Strong multitasking skills with the ability to manage multiple leads and opportunities at once. Attention to detail in documenting customer interactions and processing orders. Working Conditions Primary work location: MonkeySports HQ – Allen, TX. Standard 40-hour workweek, with occasional extended hours during peak sales periods. Office-based role with heavy computer/CRM use and frequent communication with customers.
