JOB DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

To meet or exceed pre-determined service expectations while selling product, merchandising, and fulfilling route management objectives in order to drive volume and profit growth in accounts.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field and/or equivalent training and work experience
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in related area
  • Proficient PC skills using MS Office and other various computer programs including presentation software
  • Must be a results-oriented professional with verbal/written communication skills using diplomacy and discretion as well as customer service skills
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and/or within a team, pay attention to detail and meet deadlines
  • Analytic and Reporting skills
  • Utilize sound judgement and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high-volume, team environment

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to, stand, sit; talk, hear, and use hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone

Responsibilities

Plan and execute a daily schedule of sales calls on a pre-determined route (route schedule).

  • Meet with account representatives on a regular basis; work with supplier representatives to promote sales; solicit new business to increase revenue and distribution within route territory.
  • Effectively plan on a daily, weekly, monthly, and quarterly basis, in order to meet quotas and distribution objectives to increase market share, space allocation, and customer service.
  • Service and improve the marketability of our products through shelf management, display position, and frequency, concept selling and price point management.
  • Pack out shelves, build and refresh displays; place POS and stock cold box; coordinate and support merchandising activities/resets.
  • Communicate to drive volume and profit growth in accounts.
  • Communicate through voicemail, email, and proper follow through on issues deemed important to management, our customers, and suppliers; ensure all required documentation is completed in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Communicate merchandising tactics to accounts.
  • Comply with all company rules including, but not limited to, warehouse policy and procedures.
  • Be present and punctual for mandatory sales meetings and brand kick-offs; develop industry, channel, and brand knowledge.
