JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for an Automotive Sales Associate to join our growing team! The right candidate will be ambitious, have excellent interpersonal skills, and the ability to meet and exceed goals. No automotive experience necessary - we will train the right candidate and welcome applicants with retail, server or call center representative experience to apply. Day-to-day tasks will include developing client relationships and providing product solutions that best meet our customer’s needs.

Responsibilities
  • Greets customer on sales floor and determines make, type, and quality of vehicle desired.
  • Explains features and demonstrates operation of vehicle in showroom and on the road.
  • Suggests optional equipment for customer to purchase.
  • Researches availability of models and optional equipment using computer database.
  • Demonstrates vehicle, via a test-drive, to customer.
  • Consults with Sales Manager when necessary; never allowing a customer to walk without first consulting with a Sales Manager.
  • Deliver new vehicle to customer. This process ensures that the customer understands the vehicle’s operating features, warranty and paperwork, and it lays the foundation for customer loyalty.
  • Maintains an owner follow-up system that encourages repeat and referral business and contributes to customer satisfaction.
  • Maintains a prospect development system and makes follow up calls to those potential customers.
  • Sets appointments.
  • Follows established selling steps and selling policies and procedures.
  • Remains knowledgeable of new products, features, accessories, etc.
  • Attends sales meetings and training sessions as scheduled.
  • Meets, or exceeds, written forecast and projection numbers.
