We are seeking a Sales Associate/Optical Assistant as well as a dual LicensedOptician to join our busy optical establishment in Red Deer! Sales experience is preferred but we are willing to train the right candidate.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Greet patients/customers in a friendly and professional manner while building rapport.
• Assist patients with frame selection.
• Enter orders and accurate patient information as well as supply insurance forms and receipts.
• Verify prescription eyeglasses and notify patients when eyewear is ready for pick up.
• Schedule follow up appointments as needed.
• Instruct patients on proper eyewear use and care of new eyeglass lenses.
• Troubleshoot and problem solve eyewear concerns and issues to ensure patient satisfaction.
• Merchandise dispensary and maintain cleaning procedures and standards.
• Monitor job status from optical labs and ensure accuracy and quality.
• Establish and maintain effective working relations with co-workers, management, suppliers and general public.
• Maintain regular, consistent and professional attendance, punctuality, personal appearance and adhere to relevant health and safety procedures

REQUIREMENTS

• Grade 12, GED or equivalent
• Must be available to work Saturdays
• Sales experience preferred
• Optical experience an asset
• Exceptional customer service/Interpersonal skills
• Able to work efficiently and accurately under pressure
• Professional appearance and demeanor
• Reliable and trustworthy
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy when entering data
• Willingness to learn
• Possess a keen sense of fashion
