JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Hockey Lion Sales Associate, your primary responsibility is to connect with customers — understanding their needs and providing the products, services, and advice to help them enjoy hockey to the fullest. You’ll be an ambassador for both the sport and our store, promoting a friendly, welcoming, and knowledgeable environment.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND SKILLS

  • High school or post-secondary education preferred
  • Hockey knowledge is essential (minimum 2 years)
  • Previous retail or customer service experience is an asset
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Reliable, responsible, and detail-oriented

EXPERIENCE LEVEL

Entry to Intermediate

JOB LOCATION REQUIREMENTS

On-location — Richmond Hill, ON. Applicants must be able to reliably commute.

DESCRIPTION OF THE ROLE

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform skate sharpening and profiling with attention to detail
  • Greet and assist customers in a professional and friendly manner
  • Provide product recommendations and accurate information
  • Accurately process transactions and handle cash
  • Monitor inventory levels and restock merchandise as needed
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and well-presented sales floor
  • Answer phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
  • Learn about new products and keep up with hockey industry trends
  • Support ice surface operations when required
