Description

Saint Germain Bakery is a busy Asian-style bakery originating from Vancouver. Our pastry chefs incorporate many different styles of buns, breads, cakes and other treats into our daily menu. As a Sales Associate, you are the primary contact for the customer. The ideal candidate will be friendly and courteous, showing care to customers’ concerns yet swift and adept to keep up a timely pace. Preference will be given to those with previous experience and who can speak both Chinese (Cantonese and/or Mandarin) and English. Must have valid SIN number. Must be able to lift at least 30 lbs. Must be willing to work weekends and public holidays if required.

Responsibilities include:

  • Helping customers find the products they want
  • Taking cake orders in person and by phone
  • Ringing in sales on the POS system, handling money and credit card transactions
  • Ensuring a full display of all products in the storefront
  • Keeping displays neat and tidy and constantly replenished
  • Helping to ensure cleanliness and organization of the store in general
  • Assisting other departments when needed
  • Communicating with coworkers and management
