Responsibilities

ROLE OVERVIEW

As a Business Sales Controller, you will play a key role in supporting commercial decision-making. This position combines financial analysis expertise with sales operations knowledge to drive revenue optimization, ensure accurate sales reporting, and provide strategic insights that enable the business to achieve its growth objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Financial Analysis & Reporting

  • Prepare and analyse monthly sales reports, rolling forecasts
  • Monitor sales performance against budgets, rolling forecasts, and KPIs
  • Monitor the import/export rate
  • Develop and maintain sales dashboards and performance metrics
  • Ensure accuracy of revenue recognition and sales data integrity

Sales Operations Support

  • Collaborate with sales teams to establish rolling forecasts and budgets
  • Support pricing strategy development through margin analysis and competitive assessments
  • Strategic Planning & Forecasting
  • Lead the annual sales budgeting and planning process
  • Develop rolling forecasts and scenario planning models
  • Conduct market analysis and competitive intelligence research
  • Support business case development for new products, markets, or initiatives
  • Participate in monthly business reviews

Process Improvement & Compliance

  • Design and implement sales reporting processes and controls
  • Ensure compliance with revenue recognition standards and accounting principles
  • Identify opportunities for process automation and efficiency improvements
  • Maintain documentation for audit purposes and internal controls (rebates & sales tax)
  • Support month-end and year-end closing activities
