Botleigh Grange Hotel is a landmark 62-room property nestled in the Hampshire countryside, offering elegant accommodation, weddings, private events, and corporate hospitality. As part of our ongoing transformation and growth, we are looking for a proactive, commercially-minded Sales & Business Development Executive to help us generate new business and support our experienced Sales Manager in achieving revenue targets.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

This is an exciting opportunity for a dynamic sales professional with a passion for building relationships and securing business. Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will play a key role in driving new revenue, activating local partnerships, and enhancing our sales pipeline across corporate, group, leisure and event segments.
This hybrid role combines external business development with internal sales support and event coordination, offering variety and growth potential for the right candidate.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities across core segments: corporate, wedding, leisure groups, wellness, and private events
  • Conduct sales outreach through calls, visits, networking, and attending trade/industry events
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with local businesses, event planners, travel agents, and key decision-makers
  • Support the Sales Manager in executing the hotel’s sales strategy and sharing regular updates on pipeline and leads
  • Follow up on leads, lapsed accounts, and declined enquiries to convert future opportunities
  • Represent the hotel at external functions, showcases, and promotional events
  • Respond to sales and event enquiries, converting them into confirmed bookings
  • Conduct client site visits and act as a key contact for event planning and delivery
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution and guest satisfaction
  • Assist with promotional campaigns and database management (CRM, follow-ups, reporting)
