Position Summary: The dynamic and professional Coordinator will support the Crowne Meetings Director and Sales Team in delivering exceptional guest experiences. This role plays a key part in helping the Sales and Catering Team achieve revenue targets by ensuring the seamless and timely booking and turnover of business. As a valued member of the hotel team, the Coordinator will be responsible for upholding and implementing all departmental and hotel-wide policies, procedures, and standards.

Responsibilities
  • Provide input on planning, conference activities and promotions
  • Assist with Sales and Conference Services phone calls and inquiries
  • Efficiently respond to online, phone and face to face inquiries
  • Provide administrative support to Sales Managers and Crowne Meetings Director as required
  • Booking meetings and conferences by obtaining the details of customer needs and hotel availability. Details include guest room blocks, meeting room set ups, food and beverage requirements and audio visual needs
  • Gain full knowledge of the hotel’s capabilities and parameters
  • Maintain a favorable working relationship with all other hotel associates to foster and promote a cooperative and harmonious working climate between departments. Skills, Abilities and Qualifications:
  • Excellent knowledge of the principles of customer service.
  • Good knowledge of business software; including MS Excel / Word / PowerPoint and Catering/Sales systems.
  • Good communication skills (both written and verbal) and strong attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organizational abilities.
  • Ability to speak both official languages is considered an asset.
  • Requires some evening and weekend shifts.
  • Collect and record sponsorship program activities and requests in kind. Follow up as necessary.
  • Minimum 2 year’s experience in a hotel environment, preferably within the Sales & Catering discipline.
  • Post secondary education in Hospitality is a definite asset.

    Pay: $42,000.00-$44,000.00 per year
