Apple is looking for a dynamic, highly-motivated commercial analyst to join the New Zealand Team. You will support the team in all facets of its work to develop sales actions through analysis and insights. This position offers an excellent opportunity for someone skilled in commercial analysis and strategic planning. Success in the role requires an ability to work effectively and efficiently across multiple functional areas. DESCRIPTION The duties and responsibilities are diverse, but include the following: - Understand the NZ channel business and strategy, and how variables such as historical performance, seasonality, promotions, sales initiatives and macro economic environment shapes business trends. - Support the NZ demand generation & back margin quarterly process by delivering analytics, insights and process management. - Closely supervise the performance of activity across all sales channels - Develop and maintain standardised reporting and ad-hoc analysis by building and leading analytical models. - Develop data sources to support reporting, insights and machine learning. - Apply statistical analysis and data quality evaluation to data models and sources. - Collaborate with NZ team members to evaluate current and potential opportunities, and support the development of annual and quarterly sales priorities and action plans. - Develop presentations that deliver key insights about the business and support recommended sales actions. - Work closely with the Business Development team, Operations and Sales Finance teams to improve business performance by developing tools, reports, insights, and operational processes that elevate team capability and efficiency. - Support NZ contribution Apple benchmarking, scorecards and other requests - Maintain the highest standards in representing the Apple brand, with a focus on strategic impact, long-term partnership growth and customer experience. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS At least 8 years of experience in conducting large-scale financial analysis Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a consistent track record in financial data interpretation. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Excellent communication and presentation skills across all levels in the organisation. Exceptional attention-to-detail, ability to compile and validate large amounts of data, and comprehensively understand data relationships. Exceptional commercial skills; ability to deeply understand channel partner economics, analyse commercial data and reports, create robust business cases supporting opportunities. Collaborative and inclusive engagement style that seeks to deliver superior outcomes, regardless of the status quo or perceived boundaries. Ability to handle ambiguity and make things happen. Excellent analysis skills. Able to present insights and drive conclusions in an engaging manner. Exhibit the highest standards of accuracy and strong organisational skills. An ability to build and develop a strong internal network. Strong Excel skills. Knowledge of Python, SQL/Tableau a plus. Expertise in data visualisation tools for analysis, insight synthesis, report design and development, and executive presentations.
