About the role As a Sales Consultant on Innovasea’s Aquaculture Intelligence Sales team, you will play a key role in connecting customers with solutions that enhance and optimize their aquaculture operations. Serving as the first point of contact, you’ll act as a trusted advisor, listening closely to customer needs and guiding them toward technologies that deliver real operational value. This role is highly collaborative, working closely with engineering, customer success, and sales colleagues to ensure customers receive thoughtful, well-aligned recommendations. Through a consultative approach, you’ll help customers understand how Innovasea’s solutions can integrate into their operations today while supporting their goals for the future. By building strong, long-term relationships through regular in-person engagement, you’ll gather insights on product performance, identify opportunities for deeper technology adoption, and contribute customer feedback that helps shape future product direction. What you'll be doing Identify and evaluate potential markets and sales opportunities Develop and execute against an annual sales budget, providing monthly updates to sales leadership to track progress. Initiating and follow-up on leads to drive new business Respond promptly to customer inquiries via phone, email, and other channels Use a consultative approach to determine customer requirements and recommend solutions Capture detailed customer needs and specifications for accurate solution alignment Serve as the primary liaison between customers and internal teams during order processing Conduct follow-up to assess customer satisfaction and gather feedback Document customer suggestions and share insights with the Product Management team Attend industry conferences and conduct on-site customer visits as needed What you'll need to succeed Minimum of 2 years direct sales or sales related experience Experience working in or with the salmonid aquaculture industry Detail-oriented and able to meet deadlines in a competent and timely manner Excellent communication skills (Verbal and written) Ability to work both independently and in a team environment Experience and expertise using the MS Office suite of tools Ability to travel up to 50% Preferred Skills Specific experience with aquaculture technology including environmental monitoring equipment Experience with salesforce or other CRM tool Education Bachelor degree in aquaculture, marine science or related field.
