Job Summary:
A Sales Consultant is responsible for promoting and selling products or services to potential and existing customers. They identify client needs, recommend suitable solutions, and maintain strong customer relationships to achieve sales targets and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and approach potential customers through cold calling, networking, and referrals.
  • Present and demonstrate products or services to clients effectively.
  • Understand customer needs and recommend appropriate solutions.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with clients.
  • Maintain and grow long-term customer relationships.
  • Meet and exceed monthly or quarterly sales targets.
  • Keep up to date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitors.
  • Prepare sales reports and maintain accurate records in CRM systems.

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in sales, retail, or customer service.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to understand and match products/services to customer needs.
  • Target-driven and results-oriented mindset.
  • Good time management and organisational skills.
  • Basic computer literacy (MS Office, CRM systems).

Education:

  • Matric/Grade 12 (required).
  • Additional qualification in Sales, Marketing, or Business (advantageous).

Work Environment:

  • Office-based or field-based, depending on company needs.
  • May require travel to meet clients.
