Reporting This position will report to the Sales Manager, Laboratory & Scientific Division Areas of Responsibility Scheduling appointments with new and existing clients; Working through client requirements and providing accurate and relevant advice on products needed Promoting range of Instruments, Consumables, Equipment, Reagents and Chemicals; Quoting clients on products needed; Proving client with accurate and constant feedback; Following up on open quotations and updating the CRM with potential opportunities; Ensuring that the CRM is regularly updated; Meeting realistic targets set by the Company; Provide feedback in weekly meetings; Assisting with Tenders and RFQ’s and handing in on time. Key Areas Maintaining professional & technical knowledge (Such as product features, technical specifications, benefits, and potential applications within the medical field) by attending educational workshops & conferences. Product demonstrations Conduct demonstrations of medical equipment for potential clients, healthcare institutions, or at trade shows and conferences. Tailor demonstrations to the specific needs of healthcare professionals, showcasing the product's value and performance in a real-world medical environment. Product feedback & improvement Gather feedback from healthcare providers regarding the performance of equipment, any challenges faced, and any improvements needed. Relay this feedback to management to help improve the products and address any issues or limitations Requirements Qualifications A Grade 12 (matric) or equal qualification is a minimum requirement; Tertiary qualification in related field advantageous. Experience required 3-5 Years Sales experience in the medical IVD field required; 1-2 Years Laboratory experience required. Management and prior experience of daily sales operations: visit planning, funnel management & forecasting – mandatory; Knowledge of key account procurement cycles is preferred Experience with Tenders will be beneficial; Requirements Management of a sales funnel mandatory Strong IT knowledge and experience will be advantageous. Experience with tenders will be beneficial. A valid driver’s license with own reliable transport is a pre-requisite. Must be available to travel both nationally & internationally as and when required Capabilities Good Communication Skills (especially in English); Good MS Office skills; Excel (minimum level 2), MS Word and Outlook Skills required; Competencies Attention to detail and accuracy with being result orientated. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadline, whilst having tasks delegated to you. Perform duties in an acceptable manner with minimal supervision. Effectively convey and receive ideas, information, and direction. Take on additional responsibilities as needed; manage priorities, complete assignments on time and with accuracy. Demonstrate independent action and resourcefulness on the job.
