Ventro is the UK’s leading fire safety company, and we’re expanding rapidly. As a result, we’re looking for an experienced Sales Consultant to join our Plymouth team and take ownership of building new client relationships while growing our market presence in fire protection, sprinkler systems, fire alarms and passive fire protection.
If you’re looking to build a rewarding sales career in an essential industry while working on projects that genuinely save lives, this could be the career move you’ve been waiting for.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS:
HELPFUL EXPERIENCE:
DAY-TO-DAY RESPONSIBILITIES
You’ll be developing new business opportunities through proactive telephone prospecting and building a strong pipeline of qualified prospects. This involves researching potential clients, understanding their fire safety needs, and positioning Ventro’s comprehensive solutions effectively.
Working from our Plymouth office, you’ll be conducting client meetings, both face-to-face and via video conferencing. You’ll need to quickly identify client pain points, assess their current fire safety provisions, and present tailored solutions that meet their compliance requirements and budget constraints.
Relationship building is crucial. You’ll be nurturing long-term partnerships with facilities managers, property developers, and public sector decision-makers, ensuring repeat business and referral opportunities that drive sustained commission earnings.
You’ll also be maintaining accurate records in our CRM system, tracking opportunities through the sales cycle, and providing regular performance updates to your line manager while working towards individual and team targets.
ABOUT THE ROLE
This isn’t just another sales job. Fire safety is experiencing unprecedented growth driven by new building regulations, increased compliance requirements and heightened awareness following recent incidents. You’ll be joining at an exciting time with genuine opportunities to progress in a market-leading company.
The work is challenging but highly rewarding. When you win a contract for a school fire protection system or care home sprinkler upgrade, you know your sales expertise is directly contributing to projects that save lives and protect the most vulnerable in our communities.

Note: Ventro prefer to hire directly and we will be in touch with our PSL Agencies if this role is eligible. We do not accept speculative CVs and no fee will be applicable if sent.
