Are you passionate about finance and eager to develop your skills in sales controlling within a dynamic and challenging environment? We are looking for an enthusiastic Sales Controlling Intern to join our BU Paper Controlling team in Verona. As a Sales Controlling Intern, you will support the Commercial team and local subsidiaries by providing valuable insights on sales analysis, budgeting, and forecasting across various channels and product lines. This internship offers a unique opportunity to learn from experienced professionals and contribute to key financial activities in a leading global company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of reports on volume price/mix at both revenue and margin levels across different business lines.
  • Support the planning activities (budgeting & forecasting) by collecting inputs from various functions and countries.
  • Collaborate closely with the BU Functions to help deploy the BU growth strategy.
  • Monitor and control costs related to the Commercial function, including rebates, marketing costs, and department costs.
  • Work alongside the Head of Operation Controlling to monitor production costs for different product lines.
  • Actively participate in strategic IT initiatives and projects requiring analytical support, aimed at enhancing the granularity and accuracy of analysis.
  • Assist the Business Controller in developing new models and processes for accurately building P&L by country and business line.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Education: Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, Management Engineering, or a related field.
  • Previous Experience: Experience in financial analysis, controlling, or sales would be considered a plus but is not required.
  • Technical Skills:
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas).
  • Knowledge of SAP and PowerBI is a plus.
  • Familiarity with P&L analysis, commercial/industrial/logistics performance, and E2E margin analysis is advantageous.
  • Personal Traits:
  • Strong analytical thinker with attention to detail and the ability to manage large datasets and complex files.
  • Business acumen and ability to read, understand, and analyze data and trends to aid decision-making.
  • Proactive attitude, able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams effectively.
  • A dynamic, flexible approach to working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Fluent in Italian and English
