Description

KEY SKILLS

  • Previous experience in sales position preferably with a background in Building or Construction Industry.
  • Good working knowledge of IT systems and applications, including MS Outlook, Word and Excel.
  • Be highly organised with good attention to detail.
  • Have a proactive and positive attitude.
  • Be a confident and effective communicator, both written and verbally.
  • Works well as part of a team, but equally capable of managing own time and workload.
  • Knowledge of building/construction materials and aggregates would be beneficial but is not essential.
  • Enthusiastic, with appetite to learn
    Applicants must have their own transport and be prepared to travel to other locations for training and working as and when required.
    Working hours: 42.50 hours per week, Monday to Friday 0800 – 1700, including 30 minutes unpaid for lunch.
    Package: This is dependent on location and experience but consists of a competitive salary and regular bonuses related to the Company’s profitability.

Responsibilities

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To support Merchant sales and Sales team with pricing, customer queries, handling incoming calls and emails and order processing.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND OBJECTIVES

  • Be the first point of contact for new and existing customers by handling incoming customer calls and email enquiries.
  • Build and maintain positive business relationships, both internally and externally.
  • Resolve customer queries ensuring a high level of customer service.
  • Source & price materials.
  • Create, amend, follow up & close quotations in our CRM system.
  • Order processing.
  • Support field Sales Representatives as required.
  • Role is based full-time at Purley Sales Office

OTHER DUTIES

  • Prepare and post material samples.
  • General office duties.
  • Offer support to other members of the department when required.
