SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this role is to assist and enhance the effectiveness of the sales team by providing essential support across various functions. Key responsibilities include inside sales, administrative tasks, and representing the company at trade shows. This position is dynamic, with a mix of office-based and travel-related duties, allocated as follows:

  • Sales - Phone/email to sell new products
  • In Office - Sales Support
  • In Office - Administrative
  • Travel required for sales support

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • High school Diploma or GED required
  • Preference for 2-year college degree or more
  • 2+ years of professional work experience
  • Experience in sales/administrative duties
  • Familiar with Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Salesforce experience preferred

Responsibilities

SALES: DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Demonstrate a proactive, can-do attitude by assisting with any task as needed
  • Utilize Salesforce CRM program (Customer Relationship Management) to manage customer relationships and sales activities
  • Identify opportunities for add-on sales within the existing customer base
  • Conduct outreach to potential new customers and follow up on leads
  • Prepare and issue customer pricing and manage price adjustments
  • Support customer review processes and gather credit approvals
  • Coordinate product samples for trade shows and customer presentations
  • Prepare and send product samples and promo items
  • Organize and participate in internal sales meetings
  • Contribute to social media advertising efforts to enhance brand visibility
  • Review and forward inquiries from the company website

SALES ASSISTANT: DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Provide flexible support across various administrative tasks as needed
  • Answer incoming calls and respond to customer inquiries
  • Resolve customer pricing discrepancies promptly and professionally
  • Review and process sales orders accurately and efficiently
  • Lead set up and updates for new and existing customer products
  • Maintain customer files and assist with new customer onboarding
  • Record and share meeting minutes
  • Collaborate on new packaging designs and rollout strategies
  • Perform other duties as assigned to support departmental objectives and organizational needs

TRAVELS: DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
  • Set up and dismantle trade show booths
  • Travel to support sales initiatives and events
  • Represent the company at trade shows and industry events
  • Conduct in-store visits and provide product knowledge training sessions
  • Meet with new or existing customers to promote products and services
