Sales/Customer Service Advisor
Insight Security is seeking a practical and technically minded candidate to join our successful, friendly Sales team.
Insight has been a leading supplier of quality, proven, Safety and Security Products for over 35 years, with a UK and overseas customer base including; businesses from small family businesses to major corporates, schools, governments, NHS, police & military, among others, as well as the general public.
This is an exceptional opportunity to join our dynamic & long standing team in our growing business, which would ideally suit someone who is enthusiastic, keen to learn about our exciting range of products, looking for a long-term role, rather than a stop-gap and who is committed to delivering practical and effective solutions to our customers.
The successful candidate will be responsible for answering a wide range of customer sales enquiries via telephone, email and face to face, by providing information about our products and their potential application to our customers.
Based at our Lewes offices, due to customers visiting our showroom for help and advice this is an office-based role, which may also include occasional visits to customer sites when required, to help identify potential solutions to their security issues.
With our overseas business growing exponentially each year, we would ideally like someone with export experience to help facilitate the smooth delivery of our products to our customers all over the world.

REQUIREMENTS

Must have

  • Proven sales experience
  • Ability to assist customers through purchasing decisions to ensure closed sales
  • Excellent communication, listening and influencing skills
  • Excellent organisational and administration skills
  • Ability to manage multiple customer accounts
  • Ability to manage and prioritise own workload
  • Ability to work independently but at the same time work closely within a supportive team environment
  • Strong customer service/sales experience
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
  • A basic understanding of DIY and how everyday things work
  • Proficient IT skills (Microsoft Office), training will be given on internal systems

Nice to have

  • Some knowledge of security products and their application
  • Knowledge of export and overseas shipping
  • Experience of tenders & contracts
  • A hands on and enthusiastic approach to problem solving

Hours 8.30 a.m. – 5.00 p.m. Monday - Friday
Due to being a small close knit team, the position is office based in Lewes.
Starting salary £28-30k, Contributory company pension scheme, Free on-site parking, Convenient A27 location. (20 minutes’ walk from Lewes Train Station)

All first interviews will be conducted over Microsoft Teams/Zoom, second interviews for successful candidates will be conducted in person.
