JOB DESCRIPTION
Everest Signs is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our Toronto based team as a Sales Development Executive - Technical, based on site and directly reporting to the VP - Sales & Operations. We are looking for someone who has outside sales experience and technical training preferably in an engineering, construction, equipment, business to business or a related field. Experience of development of dealer/reseller network for equipment or capital items will be an added advantage. Experience with marketing material design, social media campaign, product writing skills and website improvements are desirable.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
· Completion of College/CEGEP/vocational or technical training preferably in an Engineering, Construction, Business or related field.
· Self-starter, highly-motivated, strong desire to meet objectives and succeed
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to read and interpret Blueprints / Construction Drawings
· Excellent communication skills are essential
· Experience with MS Office Apps and Adobe Photoshop
· Previous work experience in signage manufacturing, custom fabrication/manufacturing or construction industries is preferred but not essential
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
· Ability to work flexible hours as the project schedule demands

ABOUT THE ROLE
The candidate in this role serves to establish and maintain profitable customer relationships to develop a steady flow of order inquiries in the market. Travel within the GTA and surrounding areas is expected for this position. Reaching out directly to potential clients with in GTA by various possible ways (phone calls/emails/direct in person visits) and recommend our product solutions. Also reach out to potential resellers all across the country and establish a dealer network for our products and services.
DUTIES INCLUDE
· Identify and solicit potential clients
· Prospect, qualify, and generate leads for LED signage sales.
· Travel to new Commercial and Retail Developments, existing Strip Malls, urban public spaces, institutions like schools, churches and newly constructed buildings to seek potential clientele.
· Understand client needs and recommend appropriate LED signage solutions.
· Solicit real estate developments and property management companies in the GTA.
· Develops and tracks inquiries to convert into orders.
· Manages customer base and orders to create an optimum mix of sales volume, gross profits
· Negotiate and close sales deals to meet or exceed sales targets.
· Travels regularly to interact with potential customer base and commercial property community
· Maintains high visibility for the Company in the marketplace and provides ongoing market intelligence to VP - Sales & Operations on market conditions and market needs, competitor activity, and upcoming projects
· Collaborate with the marketing team to develop strategies for lead generation and brand awareness.
· Travel to site to conduct site checks, including taking measurements and photos.
· Develop reports and proposals to illustrate benefits from use of goods or services
· Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations to showcase our products and services.
· Consult with clients after sale to provide ongoing support
· Provide input into product design where goods or services must be tailored to suit client’s needs
