You will be working for Business Area Wood & Energy, and you will report to Head of North Sales & Customer Service of wood products. You can be located anywhere in Finland, but it’s important that you will be able to commute to one of our offices in Finland on a weekly basis. This is a senior role in which you will drive strategic initiatives and lead the commercial excellence process in the Sales organization. You will support the drive of international sales growth, develop new market opportunities, and support strategic initiatives that align with our long-term objectives. You will combine strong sales expertise and sawmilling background with analytical skills to ensure profitable growth. Career for a better climate. Every day. As a Sales Development Manager, you will be responsible for: Develop & implement innovative sales strategies to increase revenue and market share. Monitoring and analyse market data to identify trends and opportunities for further sales strategies. Preparing calculations, forecasts, and scenario analyses to support management decision-making. Identifying, establishing, and growing sales channels in high-potential markets. Supporting the design and implementation of pricing strategies to maximize profitability and competitiveness. Creating and implementing processes to measure the effectiveness of sales initiatives. Contributing to planning and monitoring investment projects that impact sales and market development. Applying deep knowledge of sawn timber and wood product sales and the sawmill business environment. Developing training and development programs for sales teams. Requirements for applicants: At least 10 years of demonstrable success in international sales of sawn and planed timber and advanced wood products (LVL, beams, components, Thermowood), combined with strong strategic understanding of the global sawmill industry At least 10 years demonstrated experience in the sawmill supply chain planning from the forest to end customers, including ability to plan the production from forest to the end customers. In-depth knowledge of wood species characteristics (in RW & WW) and their optimal application in sawn timber products Proven success in international sales development and market expansion. Familiarity with global trade regulations and logistics in the wood products industry. Fluent in English and Finnish language Flexibility for international travel. Negotiation and relationship-building skills. Experience in strategic pricing and investment project support. Result oriented, and an ability to set and reach clear targets & deadlines. A Master degree in forestry or a related discipline is highly preferred.
