SUMMARY
We are seeking a dynamic Marketing Representative to join our team at I.J. McGill Transport. This role will be pivotal in driving our marketing efforts and enhancing our brand presence across the UK. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of delivering outstanding service while supporting our growth objectives.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a motivated Sales Development & marketing representative to identify and create new business opportunities. This role involves coordinating marketing campaigns, building a pipeline for long-term & mutually beneficial partnerships, managing partner relationships, overseeing sales activities, and lead generation to drive business growth.
Base Location: Bristol
Base Salary: £29,500 + Performance Bonus
Days: Monday to Friday
QUALIFICATIONS:
Experience:
· No prior experience is required; however, relevant coursework or internships in sales, marketing, or a related field are a plus.
· A passion for logistics and business development is desirable.
SKILLS:
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
· Highly skilled in computer technology and social media platforms to significantly expand customer engagement and drive impactful results.
· Strong organizational and time management abilities.
· Self-motivated, goal-driven, and team-oriented.
· Tenacious and resilient in pursuing leads
· Confident with a direct approach to outbound sales
· Ability to identify & understand customer challenges, and provide impactful, tailored solutions that address their needs effectively.

Prospecting & lead generation: Identify and engage potential partners through email, phone, LinkedIn, and other channels. Qualify leads to ensure alignment with business goals.
· Develop marketing materials: including brochures, newsletters, and social media content, to effectively communicate our services and value propositions.
· Relationship building: Develop and nurture relationships with decision-makers; conduct discovery calls to understand the needs of potential partners.
· Client Acquisition: Drive new business by effectively communicating the value of our services and converting leads into clients.
· Meeting organisation: Schedule and attend meetings with potential customers to understand their needs and present our solutions effectively.
· Pipeline management: Maintain a pipeline of opportunities, track activities in the CRM, and follow up on inquiries in a timely manner.
· Customer account management: Organise and attend meetings and track sales metrics to evaluate effectiveness.
· Performance Reporting: Regularly update management on outreach metrics and strive to meet or exceed monthly targets.
