POSITION SUMMARY:

As a Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Alside, you’ll be the first point of contact for new prospective customers in the building materials space. This role focuses on targeted outbound outreach, lead qualification, and nurturing early-stage opportunities into sales-ready prospects. You’ll use phone, email, and digital tools to drive engagement with contractors, remodelers, and builders across our markets.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Prospect new leads through outbound calls, personalized emails, LinkedIn outreach, and follow-up cadences
  • Nurture early-stage leads and re-engage dormant accounts using structured sequences and personalized touchpoints
  • Qualify leads based on target customer profiles, project timelines, and decision-making authority
  • Schedule discovery calls and appointments for the outside sales team; ensure smooth hand-off
  • Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of lead activity, notes, and status in CRM (e.g., Salesforce)
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing to align messaging, campaigns, and follow-up strategies
  • Monitor and report on outreach effectiveness, response rates, and conversion metrics
  • Continuously improve outreach templates and nurture sequences using data and prospect feedback

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

  • 1 to 3 years of experience in outbound sales, inside sales, or business development
  • Strong communication skills, confident on the phone and clear in writing
  • Familiarity with lead engagement tools like Salesloft, Outreach, or Apollo
  • Experience working in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred)
  • Highly organized and self-motivated with a persistent, goal-driven mindset
  • Bonus: background in construction, building products, distribution, or a trade-related industry

The position will start off working in the Supply Center, and eventually move to hybrid.
Compensation: $55,000 to $60,000 + incentiv
