Responsibilities

THE ROLE

FT Professional, the B2B division of the Financial Times, licenses FT content to organisations across sectors worldwide. As a Sales Development Representative, you’ll be responsible for pre-qualifying leads and identifying new prospects for the regional field sales team to convert into revenue opportunities. You’ll also work closely with the marketing team to support campaigns, respond to inbound interest, and contribute to the growth of our client base.
This role requires a proactive approach to outreach, with an expectation of 40+ calls per day. It is ideal for someone who is driven, communicative, and eager to develop a strong understanding of FT’s B2B offerings.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Build and maintain a qualified pipeline for the field sales team through outbound calls and emails.
  • Follow up on inbound leads and web inquiries to identify potential opportunities.
  • Research and engage with budget holders and decision-makers.
  • Book qualified meetings and hand off prospects to the field sales team.
  • Gather feedback post-handoff and contribute to lead management strategies.
  • Collect testimonials and case studies to support proposals.
  • Collaborate with marketing on lead generation and campaign insights.
  • Maintain detailed records in the CRM system.
  • Provide regular reports on performance and challenges.
    You will receive training and mentorship to develop your knowledge of the FT’s product offerings and value proposition.
