OVERVIEW: Pear Tree is looking for a confident Sales Development Representative to help generate new business opportunities with companies across Australia and New Zealand. This role is focused on outbound calling and booking meetings for our Account Executives, who will then work with those businesses to help them hire offshore talent through Pear Tree. You’ll be the first point of contact for potential partners, introducing Pear Tree and opening conversations with decision makers. If you’re comfortable picking up the phone, speaking with new people every day, and creating opportunities, this role offers strong earning potential with uncapped commission. Your main responsibility is creating opportunities for the sales team by booking qualified meetings with businesses interested in offshore hiring. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Making outbound calls to companies across Australia and New Zealand Engaging founders, directors, and hiring managers Introducing Pear Tree and our offshore recruitment model Booking qualified meetings for Account Executives Managing follow-ups and outreach activity Updating CRM with call notes and activity WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR We’re looking for someone who is confident, motivated, and comfortable speaking with new people every day. Successful candidates typically have: Strong communication and phone skills Confidence speaking with business decision makers High levels of energy and persistence Ability to build rapport quickly Strong organiZation and follow-up discipline QUALIFICATIONS MUST HAVE: 3+ years of sales experience Proven ability to hunt: cold outreach, resilience, and comfort with rejection Strong consultative selling skills (discovery, value-led selling, objection handling) Excellent communication and stakeholder management Self-starter who can work autonomously and own a market NICE TO HAVE: Existing connections with AU/NZ businesses likely to leverage remote/global hiring Experience selling services, solutions, or subscription-style offerings Knowledge of hiring, recruitment, HR, or talent—not required Competitive base salary Uncapped commission Quarterly bonuses The chance to help build a more ethical and transparent remote recruitment model for AU/NZ Scale and build out your AU/NZ team
