GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Sales Development Representative (SDR) at Proficy Digital is responsible for creating the first impression with prospective clients. This individual will generate new opportunities by researching target accounts, engaging decision-makers, and qualifying prospects for the sales team. The SDR will be instrumental in driving pipeline growth and setting the stage for successful client relationships. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator who’s excited to work the phones and is not easily rebuffed by a likely negative response. The candidate will be measured by their ability to get meetings with target prospective clients for leadership to engage with to further sales pursuits

REQUIRED SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to engage prospects quickly and clearly.
  • Self-starter with high energy, resilience, and a competitive mindset.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong relationship builder with a customer-first mindset.
  • Ability to quickly learn and articulate complex solutions in a simple, compelling way.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and CRM tools (Zoho experience a plus).

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, or related field is preferred.
  • 1–2 years of prior sales or business development experience is strongly preferred (automotive industry experience is a plus but not required).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
· Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Research, identify, and target prospective clients through outbound calls, emails, and social outreach.
  • Qualify leads and schedule discovery calls or demos for the sales team.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Proficy Digital’s value proposition, technology, and offerings to effectively communicate with prospects.
  • Use CRM tools (Apollo & Zoho) to track outreach, pipeline progress, and key metrics with accuracy.
  • Partner with Sales Management to ensure smooth handoff of qualified opportunities.
  • Collaborate with marketing to leverage campaigns, content, and events for lead generation.
  • Consistently achieve and exceed weekly activity goals (calls, emails, meetings booked).
  • Contribute feedback from the field to help refine messaging and targeting strategies.
  • Other administrative tasks as assigned.
