Responsibilities

THE ROLE: YOUR PATH TO A CAREER IN TECHNICAL SALES

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Sales Development Representative (SDR) to be the engine of our sales team. This role is primarily focused on generating new business opportunities for the entire Canadian market. You will be responsible for identifying, researching, and initiating conversations with future Robatech customers.
This position is designed to provide a strong foundation in our industry, our technology, and our sales process. For the successful candidate, this is the first step on a clear career path. Once you have established yourself and mastered the lead generation process, you will transition into a more independent Technical Sales role with responsibility for your own accounts.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: LEAD GENERATION & MARKET DEVELOPMENT

  • CRM & Database Mining: Proactively search our CRM database to identify and re-engage with dormant leads and past prospects, uncovering new opportunities for the team.
  • Market Research: Utilize modern lead-generation tools to conduct thorough market research, identify target companies, and build highly focused prospect lists.
  • Strategic Outreach: Execute targeted outreach campaigns to key decision-makers (e.g., Plant Managers, Production Managers, Engineers) via phone calls, personalized emails, and LinkedIn messaging.
  • Qualify and Nurture: Engage prospects in initial conversations to understand their needs, qualify their potential, and educate them on the value of Robatech’s solutions.
  • Handoff to Senior Sales: Once a lead is qualified, your responsibility is to seamlessly schedule discovery calls and transition the opportunity to a Senior Sales team member for further development.
  • Track & Report: Meticulously track all activities in our CRM system to ensure clean data, support team forecasting, and report on key metrics.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES: SALES & ACCOUNT SUPPORT

  • Assist in managing a portfolio of house accounts, ensuring high levels of client satisfaction and identifying immediate needs.
  • Collaborate with the team to prepare sales materials, technical proposals, and quotations as needed.
  • Act as a key point of contact for inbound inquiries, routing them to the appropriate team member.
