Description

SALES DEVELOPMENT SPECIALIST – DIAGNOSTICS

Location: Hamilton, Ontario (Hybrid after onboarding)
Markets: U.S. (focus on Western U.S.) and Canada
At Precision BioLogic, we’re working to improve hemostasis diagnostics in hospitals and clinical laboratories across North America. Sales Development Specialist will be driving revenue growth by proactively identifying, qualifying, and initiating sales opportunities across our U.S. market.
As a strategic front-line contributor, you’ll fuel our top-of-funnel sales engine, uncover opportunities with hospitals and labs, and enable Account Managers to deepen relationships and close deals.
If you’re a results-driven sales professional who thrives on building relationships from scratch, exceeding sales targets, and wants to grow into future account management opportunities within medical device sales, we’d love to connect with you.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Three to four years of B2B sales, inside sales, or business development experience, ideally in medical device, diagnostics, or life sciences.
  • Demonstrated ability in cold calling, lead qualification, and initiating new business relationships.
  • Proven success building and managing relationships with technical and business stakeholders.
  • CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce or equivalent) with strong organizational and follow-up skills.
  • A self-starter who is results-oriented, resilient, and thrives in a collaborative, science-driven environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in science, healthcare, or business (or equivalent experience).
Responsibilities
  • Proactively build new customer relationships: Identify, engage, and qualify prospective hospitals and labs through outbound calls, emails, and campaigns.
  • Lead meaningful conversations: Understand customer pain points, lab workflows, and challenges to position Precision BioLogic’s solutions effectively.
  • Directly contribute to revenue growth: Generate and qualify high-quality leads, seamlessly hand off opportunities to Account Managers for closing, and strengthen pipeline performance.
  • Monitor and protect recurring revenue: Identify purchasing trends, initiate re-engagement activities, and provide actionable insights to the sales team.
  • Support commercial strategy: Partner with U.S. Account Managers to prioritize territories, align campaigns, and share market intelligence that informs growth initiatives.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: Work closely with Marketing, Customer Care, and Operations to execute campaigns, refine outreach messaging, and ensure exceptional customer experience.
  • Learn and evolve with the business: Complete a structured three-month onboarding rotation with Customer Care to master products, processes, and customer experience (with occasional backup support thereafter).
  • Operate with precision: Maintain accurate CRM records, leverage tools like the American Hospital Directory for targeting, and work within ISO 13485 standards to ensure compliance and quality in every interaction.
