Ricoh are currently recruiting for a Sales Director to manage the Africa region. This role is open to location for the successful individual as travel will be required to the Africa regions.

KNOWLEDGE

  • Ideally post Graduate (Degree or Masters; minimum Bachelors in Sales or Marketing or equivalent level from work experience in the printing industry)
  • Additional (international) sales and marketing courses
  • Affinity with ICT/Printing Industry and related products
  • Knowledge about the African market
  • Strategic vision about indirect (Partner) sales as well as direct sales (to end customers)

SKILLS

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written
  • Excellent negotiation skills and ability to convince/create buy in at the highest levels in an organization
  • Ability to align strategic visions between Ricoh (Africa Region) and its Distributor Partners
  • Good business acumen, showing evidence of ability to commercialize strategies, make sound business decisions and have excellent managerial skills ensuring effective & speedy execution
  • Excellent numeric, qualitative and analytical skills
  • Ability to understand & operate successfully with business people of different cultures & backgrounds, ideally within the African territory
  • People management skills – ability to lead, develop, coach, motivate and handle conflict
  • Fluent in English and French (both speaking and writing)

EXPERIENCE

  • Minimum five years’ experience in people management, leading a team of high skilled professionals preferable for the last three years in a regional located international (sales) organization.
  • Between seven to ten years’ experience in sales in a B2B business environment, preferable both indirect channels as direct engagement with end customers in an international environment
  • Proven record of account development, in particular with a complex portfolio of products and services
  • IT literate and commensurate in MS Office, Internet and e-mail
