Marketing Director – Independent Living Community We are seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Sales/Marketing Director to join our independent living community! This is a rewarding opportunity to work in a positive, service-focused environment supporting seniors, families, and healthcare professionals. The ideal candidate is outgoing, organized, and passionate about senior living, with the ability to build strong referral relationships and guide families through the move-in journey. This role offers a primarily Monday–Friday schedule with weekend tours based on community needs. Position Overview The Sales/Marketing Director is responsible for developing and maintaining referral relationships, increasing census, and promoting the community through both inside and outside marketing efforts. This role serves as an educator and ambassador for the community, conducting tours, following up with prospective residents and families, and supporting a smooth and personalized move-in process. The ideal candidate has experience in senior living or healthcare sales and marketing and understands the importance of relationship-building with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, physician offices, hospice, and community partners. Key Responsibilities Sales & Census Development Conduct community tours and follow up with prospective residents and families Support the entire move-in process from initial inquiry through admission Maintain accurate lead tracking and referral source documentation Assist in achieving and maintaining occupancy and census goals Relationship & Community Outreach Build and maintain strong referral relationships with hospitals, skilled nursing facilities, home health agencies, hospice, physician offices, senior centers, and independent living communities Represent the community at networking events, community outreach activities, and professional meetings Serve as a trusted resource and educator for families and referral partners Marketing & Strategy Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing and outreach plan Manage daily marketing activities and reporting Operate within established marketing budgets Coordinate inside and outside marketing initiatives, public relations, and community branding efforts Provide weekly marketing and census updates to the Executive Director Administrative & Operational Support Answer inquiries and respond to leads promptly Maintain marketing records, reports, and documentation Assist with scheduling, filing, and administrative marketing tasks as needed Communicate resident needs and transition updates with the care team Ensure strict resident confidentiality and HIPAA compliance Perform other duties as assigned by the Executive Director or Regional Director Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred) or equivalent experience Experience in senior living, assisted living, healthcare, or hospice marketing preferred Knowledge of medical terminology, home health, and hospice services Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for outreach activities Strong communication, networking, and interpersonal skills Excellent time management and organizational abilities Ability to meet deadlines, quotas, and marketing goals Experience compiling data, tracking leads, and generating reports Proficiency in Microsoft Office Positive attitude and genuine passion for working with the elderly population Ability to pass a background check and TB test upon hire Benefits Monday–Friday schedule with occasional weekend tours Flexible scheduling Paid Time Off and Paid Holidays Commission-based incentives 401(k) with employer match Health, Dental, Vision, and Life Insurance Opportunities for advancement Fun, supportive, and mission-driven work environment
